For the principal to receive, or continue to receive, the career structure payment, your board must verify that the principal meets the professional criteria.

To do this, your principal will provide you with evidence that, within the last twelve months, they have:

Additionally, if your principal is covered by one of the primary principal collective agreements, your principal may also choose to present a portfolio of evidence that they meet applicable criteria in clause 4.4.1(g).

If your principal has successfully completed their professional growth cycle and has been provided their annual endorsement statement, you can provide the required verification in the format the principal needs it provided to them.

Your board does not need to assess against any of the service and professional criteria. This includes the portfolio, if provided.

What happens to the payment if an employment process is underway?

Entitlement to the career structure payment is impacted by disciplinary or competency processes.

Please seek our immediate advice if you have a conduct or performance concern about your principal.
